The Sommelier will provide the highest level of customer wine service to all guests in the restaurants.
Fully responsible for the smooth operation of the wine & beverage program
Establish and maintain a competitive and relevant wine program in line with the culinary directions of the F&B outlet
Persistently maintain an exceptional high level of wine service and correct the unfulfilled elements if necessary
Monitor the stock of wines by introducing a proper wine management system, whilst updating wine lists with correct spelling, vintages & prices
Control on a daily basis the proper storage, aging rotation, and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom and report any problems and malfunctions
Support other outlets where needed in terms of wine training
Ensures all beverage equipment and wine lists are clean and updated with correct vintage and out of stock items
Responsible for the procurement & negotiation of wines
Support the marketing and promotion for the Restaurant and taking up special wine related projects
Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statements
Requirements
Vocational training as Sommelier. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in high end hospitality or restaurants
Extensive wine & beverage knowledge
Creative and hands on
Well organized and structured
Communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable, sociable with strong sense of empathy
Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills
High quality awareness and a sense for trends
Resilience and flexibility - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
