About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai within the Sales Department. The Sales Manager - MICE report to the Director of Sales.

As Sales Manager - MICE, you will be responsible for the following duties:

The incumbent is responsible for the servicing and management of specific accounts within an assigned area. He or she will assist the Director of Event & MICE in focusing and motivating the sales team to achieve the goals for their particular market segment as laid out in the Marketing Plan. He or she will generate event business from existing and potential accounts, coordinating customer requirements with other departments in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and profitability for the hotel

As Sales Manager - MICE, we expect from you: 

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant education                         
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in the hotel industry, luxury hotel experience is preferred                                 
  • Able to liaise effectively with designated market segment accounts
  • Knowledge of market segment
  • A computer literate
  • Fluent in English and local language                    
  • Mature
  • Initiative
  • Presentable
  • Outgoing
  • Positive
  • Self-motivated
