The Sales Coordinator provide administrative support and sales coordination to Sales Manager and perform the duty as in-house salespersons through responding to client’s enquiries, site inspections and administration etc.
The Role of Sales Coordinator
To prepare, after discussion with DOSM/DOS/ADOS/SM correspondence including faxes, letters and proposals
Respond to all local enquiries within 6 hours and overseas enquiries within 24 hours
Effective follow-ups are to be conducted for such enquiries
To peruse daily arrival and reservations’ report, to be fully aware of clients’ presence in the hotel and make contacts where required
To be constantly aware of MOKUL occupancy and average rate
To maintain an effective account and booking management system and be fully competent with operating Sales and Catering System
Traces on accounts and bookings are logged in to the system daily and ensures that such traces are acted upon timely and thoroughly
To be well versed with all aspects of the hotels facilities
Keeps close communication with CMBD/ Catering Event Services Managers on any development of the confirmed groups
To conduct onsite inspections for potential clients and walk in clients
Fully understand the protocol in handling VIPs, Official Delegations and Royalties
Distribution of seasonal gifts to major supporters when required
To supply any competitor’s activity information and current market trends to the DOSM/ DOS
Promote any packages and any promotion to all corporate accounts
Promotes and produces leads to Regional Sales Offices and sister hotels
Participate actively in Sales Blitz directed by DOSM/ DOS
To follow up on the current tentative and prospect group bookings for Managers
To follow up on confirmed, tentative and cancelled bookings (groups only)
Chinese language is an advantage
