We are looking for a Rising Fan Rooms to join ouriconic Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne!
The legendary Hotel Palace Luzern first opened in 1906 and is in the city on the shores of Lake Lucerne. After a complete renovation, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern reopened its doors in September 2022. It comprises 136 rooms and suites offering excellent views over the lake and mountains. Three restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room roundup our offer for our Guests.
As Rising Fan Rooms you will be responsible for the following tasks:
18 months of intensive learning and development
An in-depth understanding of all of the Rooms departments
The chance to work in the ones that really interest you, from reservations and front desk to guest relations and housekeeping
Responsibility that grows as your skills do
Three eCornell distance learning courses to boost your development
Training to help you grow your management and leadership skills
A mentor to help you make the most of your journey
The chance to work on two special assignments, including regional or global projects
Regular meetings with the rooms director and the general manager
As Rising Fan Rooms we are looking for:
A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality
Twelve months of industry experience
Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit
Written and verbal communication skills - guests will come to you with both complaints and positive feedback
High quality awareness
Good computer skills and knowledge of various cash register systems
Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
Command of German, English and one other language
