Program Objectives

The 18 months program allows you to work closely with our F&B and Administration Management Team and Executive Committee, allowing for a rare opportunity to gain invaluable experience and knowledge, and to make the transition into skilled managers of the future.

Throughout the months you will be receiving hands-on operational and supervisory training in the different departments you will be placed in. You will also be taking part in a comprehensive program of seminars, project works and academic studies.

Our objective is that through the program you will gain insight and full understanding of the departments and functions within the F&B Division. In order to achieve this, you will work in different departments taking on increasing levels of responsibility as you go.  At the end of the program you will be ready to take on a Assistant Manager position within any of the areas at either our hotel or at a sister property around the world with a evaluation result “satisfactory” or above.

As a Rising Fan, you’ll learn from some of the best in the industry; people who have walked these corridors for a great many years. We’re looking for people who’ll be able to embody five-star service and our oriental origins: graceful movements, a humble calm, a true focus on the guest.

Duration: 18 months at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid

As a Rising Fan you will:

• Experience all operational and non-operational tasks of the F&B outlets with structure training plan.
• Growth through learning partners, workshops and coaching sessions.
• Complete local projects and special assignments (minimum 1 hotel project and 3 F&B Divisional projects)
• Opportunity to complete eCornell distance learning courses for further development.
• Bimonthly Mentorship program with a seasoned and experienced senior leader in the hotel.
• Quarterly performance evaluation
• Quaterly meeting with HM
• Bimonthly meeting with L&D Department

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a minimum of 2 year's relevant industry experience, preferably in a luxury setting.
• bachelor degree in hospitality industry is advantageous.
• strong costumer focus.
• high level of emotional intelligence and communication skills..
• Have excellent communication skills with fluency in English & Spanish required, extra languages will be advantageous.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have geographic worldwide mobility after finishing the program.
• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
• Able to work together with other colleagues.
• Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
• Maintain clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming.
• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
