Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.

Scope of Position:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the leadership of the service team of the designated outlet. Drives service excellence and delivers business objectives and financial success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages and directs the outlet’s service team daily to ensure the operation of the department delivers consistent excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Drives kind and generous service in always treating both guests and colleagues in a respectful manner.
  • Ensures active and regular communication with the team through daily line ups, 1:1’s and monthly full departmental team meetings.
  • Daily liaison and partnership with the kitchen team to share information, best practice and ensures a harmonious relationship between culinary and service teams, resolving any concerns after, and not during service.
  • Ensures appropriate processes and systems are in place to deliver both revenue and profit margins as per budget projections.
  • Actively supports the HR team in the recruitment and retention of restaurant colleagues.
  • Attends all internal and hotel meetings required, according to meetings schedule.
  • Contributes to the development of our offerings, to ensure that the outlet continues to evolve, improve, and prosper.
  • Approves menus, prices, and promotional events for all outlets to maximize revenue generating opportunities.
  • Is cognizant of quality & cost control through close liaison with the Purchasing & Logistics Director.
  • Has an overview of the extensive wine and beverage stock and conducts regular spot checks after the stocktake, to ensure all MOHG standards are followed.
  • Partners with People & Culture and Learning & Development, to ensure all MOHG programs are actively supported and attended by the team.
  • Partners with the Director of F&B and the Director of Finance to ensure costs are properly managed and departmental margins achieved.
  • Ensures service and Back of House areas are always kept clean and work is conducted according to the MOHG standards.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • EU passport or Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
  • Previous relevant experience.
  • Local and international food and beverage awareness.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Greek is preferred.
  • Experience in the administration of Food and Beverage promotions.
  • Experience in performance management.
