About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process for the hotel. This role involves attracting, evaluating, and selecting candidates for various positions within the hotel, ensuring that the hiring process is efficient, fair, and aligned with the hotel’s standards and values.

As Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To manage recruitment processes: job posting on recruitment platforms and social media channels, resumes screening, conducting initial interviews to assess candidate suitability.
  • To develop Recruitment Strategies to attract exceptional talent for various positions within the hotel (from operational staff to mid-level management).
  • To manage the Candidate Talent Pool: update the candidate database, ensuring information is organized and accessible.
  • To evaluate candidates: phone and face-to-face interviews to assess candidates’ technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • To manage Candidate Experience: ensure that candidates have exceptional experience throughout the recruitment process, keeping them informed and motivated.
  • To elaborate reports and track metrics: generate regular reports on recruitment progress, candidate statistics, time-to-hire, and other key metrics.

As Recruitment Coordinator, we expect from you: 

Experience and education

  • Degree in Psychology, Labor Relations, Law, or similar, with a specialization in HR.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in People & Culture, within the area of Recruitment, preferably in luxury hospitality industry.

Technical Skills

  • Data analysis and reporting: Ability to generate and analyze recruitment reports (time-to-hire, candidate conversion rates, etc.) to assess process performance and make continuous improvements.
  • Familiarity with pertinent recruiting software and tools (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.)
  • Knowledge of labour law: Understanding of local and international labor laws impacting recruitment, including equal opportunity, labor rights, and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, and with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Attention to details, self-driven, a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills both written and spoken, in Spanish, Catalan and English, with strong presentation skills.
