About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris within the Housekeeping Department, the Public Area Attendant reports to the Public Area Supervisor.

As Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Participate in daily briefings with the housekeeping supervisors and take note of all necessary instructions.

  • Clean and maintain the public areas under your responsibility to ensure constant cleanliness.

  • Ensure your service area (pantry/office) is always tidy and in good condition.

  • Stock and organize your trolley to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

  • Report any forgotten guest items to your supervisor and follow the established lost-and-found procedure.

  • Inform your manager of any unusual situation related to safety or potential risks to guests or colleagues.

  • Be friendly, approachable, discreet, and pleasant

  • Have good organizational skills and be thorough

  • Maintain impeccable personal appearance and dress code, with appropriate language

  • Adapt behavior to the diversity of guests and staff

  • Foster a positive atmosphere of trust and high standards within the team

  • Strictly respect and apply hygiene and safety regulations

  • Assess material and supply needs and report them to your supervisor

  • Be attentive to details
