We are looking for a PastryCommis Chef to join the team at our new opening of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London.

As a PastryCommis Chef at Mandarin Oriental you will play an integral part in facilitating an experience like London has never known. By working through Chef Akira Back’s world famous dishes and operational strategy, you will be part of the management team leading the best-known outlet kitchen brigade.
Sharpen your skills and learn invaluable new ones as you transcend hospitality in seamless fashion and lively interactions.
As a PastryCommis Chef you will need to:
Understand the function of each electric equipment and know how to apply on each occasion.
Using right tools and applying correct method to each specific tasks.
Adhere the MOHG food safety policy and apply the company food safety program all time.
To be fully aware of designated section menu, recipes, method of production and presentation standards
Prepares the necessary food items in accordance with standards in a timely & efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption to guests’ service.
Execute all food items with standard recipe and plating guide as devised by Sous Chef or Head Chef.
Keeps workstation clean and organized including, but no limited to, floor, wall, fridges, freezers, counter tops, stove tops, equipment, and tools.

The Cook II will carry out all required operational tasks and duties in the pastry under the guidance of the respective Senior Chefs, with the overall objective to prepare food in a timely manner as per quality and food safety standard.
