About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Division, the Operational Support Executive plays an important role in supporting and coordinating the daily operations across restaurants, lounges, banqueting, and in-room dining. The position is rotational and developmental in nature, providing hands-on exposure to F&B service standards, guest interaction, and luxury dining operations. The Operational Support Executive reports to the F&B Manager.

As an Operational Support Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Welcome and greet guests warmly, ensuring a professional and engaging first impression that reflects the hotel’s service excellence.
  • Coordinate seating arrangements and assist with guest seating, menu presentation, and service flow across various F&B outlets.
  • Support restaurant, banqueting, and in-room dining operations by maintaining smooth coordination between service and culinary teams.
  • Ensure table setups, linens, menus, and dining areas meet presentation and cleanliness standards in line with brand expectations.
  • Assist with guest inquiries and reservations, both in person and by phone, ensuring courteous and accurate communication.
  • Collaborate closely with restaurant, culinary, and stewarding teams to ensure seamless and timely service delivery.
  • Support event and banquet operations through guest assistance, seating coordination, and preparation of service areas.
  • Welcome and assist VIP and VVIP guests in coordination with management and Guest Relations to ensure personalized service experiences.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting multiple F&B outlets and service types, including restaurants, banquets, and in-room dining.
  • Uphold professional grooming, presentation, and conduct standards while embodying the values of UAE hospitality and cultural awareness.
  • Perform shift duties and maintain flexibility with working hours in line with operational requirements.

As an Operational Support Executive, we expect from you: 

  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience or internship exposure in Food & Beverage operations, restaurants, banqueting, or customer service within the hospitality industry, resort experience will be a plus.
  • Strong interest in developing a career within the Food & Beverage Division and learning the standards of luxury dining operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred; additional languages are an advantage.
  • A proactive and service-oriented mindset with high attention to detail, organization, and presentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts in line with operational requirements.
