Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.

Scope of Position:

The Night Manager provides supervision and direction in the Front Desk and all other areas in the hotel during the night, according to the Mandarin Oriental objectives, performance and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures proper, efficient and profitable functioning of the overnight shift.
  • Ensures supervision of overnight cleaners.
  • Ensures supervision of all other hotel overnight staff in other areas.
  • Maximizes room revenue and occupancy by effectively controlling rates and availability.
  • Clarifies duties and responsibilities of overnight Front Office colleagues and ensures that work processes are in a logical order.
  • Ensures proper staffing at all time.
  • Ensures that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures are properly understood and followed through.
  • Ensures and maintains high standards of hygiene, behavior and grooming for him/herself, as well as for the rest of the team.
  • Handles all guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully.
  • Cooperates and coordinates teamwork with other departments.
  • Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the Front Office Manager or management of the Hotel.
  • Ensures proper handover of his/her shift to the incoming Duty Manager or Front Office Manager.
  • Ensures the quality of Mandarin Oriental standards and most of all, the safety of the hotel, its guest and colleagues at all times.
  • Handles all incoming reservation calls and walk in reservations.
  • Is in charge of the daily Infor night run.
  • Is responsible of the first accounting run (daily credit card receipts, paid outs, cash receipts and currency).
  • Is in charge of the end-of-month closing (Infor).
  • Ensures that all night audit functions are completed efficiently.
  • Creates daily handover for colleagues.
  • Checks cash float at the beginning and end of each shift, to ensure at all times that amounts are correct.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Night Manager.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or relevant will be considered as a plus.
  • Fluency in English. Greek or any other additional language will be considered as a plus.
  • Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office (HMS, GoConcierge, HotSoS).
