Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.

Scope of Position:

The Mixologist will assist the Head Bartender to drive the development and maintenance of an innovative and unique beverage program. He/She is also responsible for the smooth running of the service of the designated outlet with service excellence to deliver business objectives and financial success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Retrieves completed food and/or beverage orders from kitchen or bar; confirms accuracy of order and delivers to guests with appropriate condiments. When serving beverages, abides by all liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain if necessary any specials and/or bar promotions.
  • Records the details of the order from guests, repeating as necessary, to check for accuracy.
  • Prepares drinks in accordance with the guest's order.
  • Is responsible for mixing drinks, serving drinks, serving food, cleaning bar, setting up and breaking down the bar.
  • Replenishes beverages as necessary and checks with guest for overall satisfaction.
  • Makes sure that all silver and glasses are wiped and spotless.
  • Maintains all bar environment and equipment clean and tidy, assists guests when they have questions about the menus/wine list/liquor and cocktails, takes order from guests, anticipates their needs and addresses them accordingly.
  • Makes sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the bar area at all times and the stock of supplies and beverages.
  • Reports all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the management.
  • Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service.
  • Provides excellent service at all time to all of our guests.
  • Assists guests courteously and efficiently.
  • Provides instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
  • Responds to all guest questions. Provides guest assistance, directions and information as requested when working in public areas.
  • Has extensive knowledge of food and beverage, in order to service and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails.
  • Assists bar and lounge cocktail servers when necessary.
  • Attends all food and beverage training classes.
  • Follows the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet.
  • Attends the daily pre meal/communication meeting and the monthly department meeting.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • EU passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
  • Two years previous bartending experience in a luxury hotel setting required.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverage/mixology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of am, pm, weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Wine and Liquor knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English and Greek.
