 As a Kitchen Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly by accurately receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming food and kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive all kitchen deliveries, inspect items for accuracy, quality, and freshness, and document any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized system for storing and rotating inventory to ensure optimal freshness and easy accessibility.
  • Quality Control: Check for damaged or expired items and ensure proper storage of all products in line with food safety and health standards.
  • Communication: Coordinate with kitchen staff, suppliers, and management to communicate any issues with deliveries or shortages.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document all incoming products, update inventory records, and track supply levels.
  • Equipment Use and Maintenance: Utilize equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts as needed, ensuring safety standards are met.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a receiving kitchen environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and food safety standards.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations and storage practices a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP.
