The Role  

Mandarin Oriental Makati is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our pre-opening team. This role is central to establishing and maintaining the hotel’s technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for both colleagues and guests. The IT Manager will oversee daily IT support, manage projects, and implement Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) standards, while driving innovation and safeguarding information security. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Operations & Support 

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for colleagues and second-line support for guests. 

  • Oversee troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution of IT issues across systems and devices. 

  • Manage routine IT tasks, including infrastructure maintenance, endpoint device management, and monitoring of core hotel applications. 

  • Configure and maintain telephony systems. 

  • Ensure compliance with MOHG standards in all IT operations. 

  • Audio Visual & Event Technology 

  • Support IT and AV requirements for meetings, events, and guest functions. 

  • Oversee event technology setup and delegate AV management as needed. 

  • Team & Resource Management 

  • Lead and supervise the IT team, managing daily assignments and rota scheduling. 

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and service delivery. 

  • Project Management 

  • Plan and execute major IT projects, including system implementations and upgrades. 

  • Manage change requests and ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption. 

  • Coordinate with vendors and escalate issues when necessary. 

  • Cybersecurity & Compliance 

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection and vulnerability management. 

  • Conduct alert monitoring, follow-up, and system audits. 

  • Deliver information security awareness and MOHG policy training to colleagues. 

  • Maintain IT documentation for compliance and audit purposes. 

  • Network Management 

  • Oversee physical network troubleshooting and maintenance. 

  • Fulfill additional network requirements for events and special guest needs. 

 

Qualifications & Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 

  • Minimum 5–7 years of IT experience, with 2-3 years having managed a team.  

  • Experience in luxury hospitality or pre-opening hotels is an advantage, but not required.  

  • Strong background in network setup and maintenance.  

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)   

  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, CRM, HRIS) and IT infrastructure. 

  • Proven expertise in cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment with tight deadlines.
