The IT Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of applications, audio visual, hardware and telecommunications systems in the hotel. This includes consultation with users to ensure that telecommunications and internet systems conform to their hardware, software and system specifications.
The IT Manager reports to the Director of IT.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
Assist Director of IT in projects
Maintains existing information systems (hardware and software).
Provides supervision, direction and leadership to team members or interns.
Establishes and maintains procedures to ensure hardware and software systems are consistent with user specifications. Ensures that effective support is available from appropriate vendor as needed.
Assists to ensure IT policies and procedures are carried out.
Develops and manages delivery of technology training programs for all hotel colleagues.
Cooperates and coordinates teamwork with other departments.
Consults with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
Develops and maintains, in cooperation with the Purchasing Department, a supplier and product list for all stock data processing supplies.
Coordinates and oversees the timely repair and maintenance of telecommunications equipment by outside contractors.
Documents all hardware and software problems, repairs, and modifications.
Develops and documents procedures for users, as well as system design and/or function.
Establishes and maintains user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
Establishes and maintains backup procedures for all systems to ensure protection from loss of data
Ensures procedures comply with corporate and local policies.
Performs PC troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems.
Upgrades network hardware and software components as required.
Conducts self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the resort.
Qualifications / Experience:
Experience in supervising a team
Good knowledge on Virtualization – CISCO – Ruckus – CRESTRON
Cabling & troubleshooting
Strong knowledge and ability of providing general IT and consumer electronics hardware/software technical support
Knowledge of computer software and hardware; data communications equipment and protocols
Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications is desirable
Must be able to assist hotel guests with technical requirements and problems, internet issues and in-room technology
Communications skills in French & English

Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a similar discipline with MCSA.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a travel or hospitality field.
Minimum of 2 years relevant job experience as a hotel IT systems manager.
Work permit: Not available to candidates who are not part of the 20 members of the European community which have signed the labor agreement exchange with Switzerland.
