Internship in Banqueting Department

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona is looking for an Intern to join our Banqueting Department team for a period of 4 to 6 months, starting in March/April.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona within the Banqueting Department, the Intern will support the team in delivering high-quality service and functions, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. The Intern will report to the Banqueting Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and escort guests
• Assist in setting and cleaning up
• Prepare meeting rooms and event areas
• Keep the storage and material clean and tidy
• Assist the Banqueting Manager in any duties that she/he is required

• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of banquet areas before, during, and after events.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality, tourism, or related program.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).

• Passion for luxury hospitality and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
