Mandarin Oriental Jumeira Dubai is looking for an Intern to join our People & Culture – Compensation & Benefits team.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai within the People & Culture Department, the Intern works at the heart of P&C operations, processes, projects/initiatives, and everyday tasks in accordance with Mandarin Oriental’s Colleague Quality Experiences. The Intern provides key administrative support to the Payroll Manager in charge.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the department payroll processes; P&C attendance sheet, vacation requests, sick leaves etc.
  • Provide administrative support with data entry/update in P&C information system for accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Administer payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Support the off-boarding process for all colleagues and contractual employees.
  • Maintain comprehensive filing systems, ensuring that all colleague records are consistently updated.
  • Coordinate exit flight tickets with colleagues and travel agencies.
  • To ensure that all People and Culture administration procedures are carried out in accordance with all hotel and legal requirements.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of P&C department and perform other duties as assigned.

As an Intern, we expect from you:

  • Recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree programme (or currently enrolled) in Tourism/Hospitality/Finance programme.
  • Strong administrative skills. 
  • Strong commands of Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Positive attitude and good communicator. 
  • Ability to plan and organize workload. 
  • Fluency in Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German or Russian in addition to English is an advantage
