Position Summary:

The Learning & Development Intern represents the Mandarin Oriental culture, complies with the hotel L&D standards, and is instrumental to actively foster a positive learning environment.  It plays an essential role in driving service excellence, while also actively supporting the development of our colleagues through effective learning and development initiatives.

This position will be responsible for coordinating various quality control activities and assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programs.

As Intern, Learning and Development you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Communicate and maintain Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Learning & Development standards 

• Support all efforts to enliven our Company’s Mission, Values and Legendary Quality Experiences throughout the hotel

• Assist with development, implementation and review of the hotel L&D plan and activities in line with business priorities   

• Be an L&D PR expert to promote learning culture and exciting development opportunities

• Co-ordinate, execute and follow up on all training activities within the hotel

• Perform administrative tasks to ensure proper maintenance of records, reports, training material and resources 

• Maintain the L&D notice board / screen up to date 

• Coordinate, conduct, or facilitate product knowledge tests and in-house audits to ensure standards are met

• Champion all colleague recognition initiatives

• Take ownership to perform additional duties and continuously support People   & Culture initiatives.
