Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Trainee to join our Human Resources team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the daily operations of a luxury hotel's HR department.
As an HR Trainee, you will support various aspects of the department including internal communication, recruitment, training, employee relations, and HR administration.
Update hotel bulletin boards with the latest internal news and announcements.
Monitor daily employee use of the staff canteen and report monthly data to the Finance Department.
Prepare welcome folders and assist in welcoming new employees and trainees.
Support the documentation process for onboarding new hires and interns.
Assist in the setup of training rooms and materials.
Handle incoming calls and emails according to hotel standards.
Address students’ and employees’ inquiries with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Track and support Health & Safety documentation and risk management summaries.
Manage birthday greetings for different departments.
Update monthly internal communication materials reflecting the company’s pillars and guiding principles.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining locker assignments.
Prepare completion documents and certificates for trainees at the end of their internship.
Support the Training & Development Manager with data entry and training material preparation.
Assist the P&C Coordinator with recruitment and selection tasks.
Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on departmental projects.
A current student or recent graduate in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field (university agreement required).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
Team player who thrives in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Fluent in English and Spanish (Catalan is a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
