Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona within the Housekeeping Department, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, order and guest satisfaction in line with MOHG expectations.
The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to the Housekeeping Manager.

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Drive Quality Assurance towards MOHG standards.

  • Allocate and coordinate the team in early and late shifts.

  • Ensure smoothly run floors and impeccable guest rooms with close attention to detail.

  • Inspect guest rooms and suites.

  • Provide regular training and support for the team.

  • Manage cleanliness and organization of storage areas.

  • Handle guest requests and complaints, ensuring complete satisfaction.

  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other departments.

  • Actively review processes, sharing ideas and suggestions for improvement.

  • Supervise and provide laundry & pressing services.

  • Complete administrative tasks relevant to the department.

  • Work on projects and special assignments.

  • Conduct team briefings and meetings.

  • Manage and coordinate flower orders and purchasing requests.

  • Manage lost & found.

  • Delight guests and colleagues through exceptional service.

  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.

What we expect from you

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in luxury hotels, preferably in a supervisory role.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent hotel product knowledge.

  • Highly responsible and reliable.

  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while working under pressure.

  • Strong team player with multicultural awareness.

  • Customer-oriented with a genuine passion for service.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
