The Housekeeping Manager works closely with the Director of Residences and Residence Management team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene throughout all residential common areas, amenities, back-of-house spaces, and managed residences. The position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations while delivering a seamless and personalized experience for residents and their guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation across residential common areas, amenities, offices, and managed residences.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve housekeeping policies, procedures, and service standards in line with Mandarin Oriental Residences brand requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of residential common areas, facilities, and managed residences to ensure exceptional quality and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Manage housekeeping budgets, inventories, procurement, and vendor relationships to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining luxury service standards.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Security, Residences Operations, and external service providers to ensure a well-maintained residential environment.
- Lead, train, mentor, and motivate the housekeeping team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence.
- Support the onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development of housekeeping colleagues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident requests, feedback, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional resident satisfaction.
- Develop strong relationships with residents, owners, and stakeholders, delivering a highly personalized and discreet service experience.
- Ensure all housekeeping operations reflect the privacy, security, and service expectations of a luxury residential community.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within luxury residential, hospitality, serviced apartment, private club, or luxury hotel environments.
- Pre-opening experience within a luxury residential or hospitality setting is highly advantageous.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with housekeeping management systems and related operational software; experience with HotSOS, Alice, REx, or equivalent platforms is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of luxury housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, sanitation requirements, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of facility upkeep and coordination of maintenance-related issues within a residential environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and relationships with residents, owners, colleagues, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve resident concerns professionally, discreetly, and effectively.
- Proven leadership capability with experience managing diverse teams and driving service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
- Experience in luxury branded residences, private residences, or high-end residential communities is highly desirable.
