GROUPS & EVENTS EXECUTIVE

 

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’s Groups & Events Executive is in charge of supporting the Groups & Events Manager in handling both groups and events’ inquiries and their execution. 

 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Handle groups and events from initial enquiry to final execution in accordance with financial and time restraints (including proposal, negotiation, contracting, operations, invoicing, follow-up). 

  • Handle, coordinate and oversee all group and event operations and makes sure that groups & events within the hotel meet hotel quality standards. 

  • Coordinate resort departments to provide a first-class experience for organizers, hosts and event attendees. 

  • Demonstrate proactivity to bring back former clients and acquire new ones. 

  • Handle relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, event and wedding planners, corporate accounts 

  • Participate in local events and sales calls, including property site inspections and familiarization trips. 

  • Keep group and event system and reports accurate and updated. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Be fluent in English and Italian. Other languages are a plus. 

  • Be open-minded with good time-management, organization and communication skills, diligence and commitment.   

  • Be able to keep a positive attitude in an extremely fast-paced and demanding work environment. 

  • Be able to coordinate departments with multiple tasks.   

  • Be a team player. 

  • Have a problem-solving attitude.  

  • Have at least a previous experience in the luxury segment and be familiar with the hotel environment. 

  • Be available to flexible hours.
