About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the F&B department, the F&B Trainee is responsible for ensuring a smooth operation within the respective outlet, anticipate our guests’ needs and have full knowledge of the menu and seasonal offerings to make personalized recommendations to our guests. The F&B Trainee reports to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.

As a Food & Beverage Service Trainee you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Serving food and drinks professionally
• Complying with our high quality service standards
• Supporting the supervisors in their daily tasks
• Booking all transactions in the cash register system and carrying out correct cash accounting
• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of events
• Providing the necessary Mise en Place
• Setting up and cleaning the restaurant, bar and terrace areas
• Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As a Food & Beverage Service Trainee we expect from you:

• Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
