About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the F&B Trainee is responsible for assisting the In-Room-Dining team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The F&B Trainee reports to the In-Room-Dining supervisors and In-Room Dining manager.

Starting Dates: November 2025 and January 2026

As F&B Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Professional advice and customer care for our guests 

• Professional serving of food and drinks 

• Complying with our high-quality standards 

• Preparing the required mise-en-place, covering and cleaning work in the restaurant area

• Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks 

• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of special events

• Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As Trainee, we expect from you:

• Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school

• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts 

• Good organisational skills with the ability to handle reservations

• Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile

• Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit

• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility

• Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
