Duties and Responsibilities
To take responsibility and to delegate to colleagues in order to perform the functions of the engineering department.
To enforce all engineering policies and procedures.
To ensure that all facilities within the hotel premises are safe.
To ensure that proper maintenance of the physical plant, engineering facilities, all electrical and mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, controls, fire safety systems, the interior and exterior of the entire hotel and other items pertaining to the operation of the hotel.
To supervise the engineering staff by promoting teamwork, efficiency, quality and cost sensitiveness.
To motivate subordinates by providing close assistance of know-how, promote professionalism and show examples.
To develop departmental training programs according to the needs of each individual.
To ensure that all employee policies are abided by, that all engineering staff are supervised with fairness and care, while maintaining high work ethics.
To be responsible for the economical maintenance of the physical plant.
To maintain inspection, repairs and maintenance processes for all building components.
To supervise the preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements
University Degree
A conclusive prior experience as engineering supervisor in a Five Star Luxury property
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Previous opening experience an advantage
Must possess a warm and pleasant personality and is able to work well in a team environment
