Mandarin Oriental Sanya features 278 elegantly designed rooms, suites and private pool villas. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya is set in serene surroundings and consists of 18 treatment suites situated in 8 beautifully appointed villas. Each treatment suite includes private steam showers and the couples, VIP suites are furnished with sauna, steam room and oversized bathtub. Some of the luxury treatments on offer include the signature Oriental Essence, Thai, Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, and Mandarin Oriental facial therapies.
About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Sanya within the Transportation Department in Sanya the Hotel Driver is under the general direction of the Transportation Supervisor / Manager. Its responsibilities are maintaining safe, efficient and punctual driving operations for all hotel transportation services and encourage supportive functional assistance to all departments. Also to promote desired work culture in the transportation team to achieve superior service production.
As Hotel Driver, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Safely transport hotel guests, VIPs, colleagues and executives between airport, hotel, city locations and other destinations in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and proper condition of all hotel vehicles both inside and outside
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes and lights, and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately
- Ensure all driving activities comply with traffic laws, hotel safety policies and local regulations
- Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage and trip logs
- Adhere to assigned schedules for airport transfers, shuttle services and special requests
- Assist with basic vehicle care and coordinate with engineering/third-party workshops for regular servicing and repairs
- Respond promptly to transportation requests from guests, departments and the Duty Manager
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times when interacting with guests and colleagues
- Keep abreast of local traffic conditions, alternative routes and hotel service updates
As Hotel Driver, we expect from you:
- Valid professional driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong sense of safety, responsibility and reliability
- Familiarity with Sanya local roads, traffic rules and major destinations
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, luxury service environment
- Good interpersonal skills and polite, professional attitude toward guests
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Basic English communication skills preferred
- Physically fit to perform driving and luggage handling duties
