We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Spa to lead and oversee the operations of our luxurious Spa facility - recently awarded “World Best Resort Spa” in 2024.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, passionate about wellness and customer service, and able to drive both operational excellence and the development of an exceptional guest experience.
As the Director of Spa, you will be responsible for the overall management of the spa, including team members’ development, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and ensuring the highest standards of service.
The Director of Spa will be responsible for:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Develop and execute the overall strategy and vision for Spa and wellness operation.
- Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of spa professionals, including therapists, wellness practitioners, and Spa Concierge.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development programs to ensure team skills are up to date with industry trends and service standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement strategies to boost team morale, engagement, and productivity.
- Lead all Spa projects as needed and under the guidance of the Resort Manager and the General Manager.
- Spa Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Spa, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, safe, and serene environment.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and smooth running of all Spa services.
- Ensure all FLHSS&E guidelines are trained and followed throughout the year.
- Guest Experience & Service Quality:
- Ensure that all Spa treatments, services, and amenities exceed guest expectations and align with Mandarin Oriental Spa standards.
- Address guest concerns, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to create exceptional experiences for all visitors.
- Ensure loyalty and satisfaction of all Fitness members. Develop and enhance fitness membership program with dynamic and attractive experience.
- Financial Management & Budgeting:
- Monitor and manage the Spa's budget, ensuring that financial goals are met, and cost-effective measures are in place.
- Oversee pricing strategies for treatments, products, and packages to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Implement strategies to increase revenue through promotions, partnerships, and new service offerings.
- Marketing & Sales:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing initiatives and promotions that drive business growth.
- Cultivate relationships with local businesses, hotels, and tourism partners to maximize exposure and increase bookings.
- Wellness & Treatment Innovation:
- Stay informed of the latest trends in wellness, Spa treatments, and industry best practices.
- Develop and introduce new treatments and wellness services to keep the Spa offerings fresh and appealing to guests.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior leadership role in a luxury Spa or wellness environment.
- Strong knowledge of Spa operations, budgeting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a deep understanding of guest experience.
- Ability to drive revenue growth and manage operational costs.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest wellness trends, therapies, and Spa industry innovations.
- Relevant certifications in Spa management or wellness therapies are preferred.
- Fluent is French & English (both verbal and written).
