Mandarin Oriental is expanding its presence in Egypt with the upcoming Mandarin Oriental, Luxor — a luxury resort destination set along the Nile in one of Egypt’s most historically and culturally significant locations. Located in Upper Egypt, Luxor is internationally renowned for its ancient temples, archaeological landmarks, and rich cultural heritage, attracting luxury leisure travellers from around the world.

Mandarin Oriental, Luxor will bring the Group’s legendary service, wellness, and culinary excellence to the destination, offering an elevated luxury resort experience rooted in local culture, craftsmanship, and immersive guest experiences. The resort is expected to feature luxurious accommodations, destination dining experiences, wellness and spa facilities, leisure offerings, and curated cultural experiences designed to connect guests with the history, beauty, and authenticity of the Nile.

About the job:

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for strategically planning, developing, implementing, and managing the resort’s marketing initiatives. The role oversees brand positioning, digital marketing, social media, partnerships, and integrated campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and commercial performance for Mandarin Oriental, Luxor.

As Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the resort’s positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Lead and manage all marketing activities, including brand management, digital marketing, social media, CRM, content creation, and advertising campaigns.
  • Oversee media and partnership strategies with key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
  • Manage and optimise the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and measuring return on investment.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Revenue, and Operations teams to ensure integrated campaigns that support revenue generation and guest acquisition.
  • Leverage market research, competitive analysis, and guest insights to refine strategies and enhance target audience engagement.
  • Drive the development of high-impact campaigns that reflect the resort’s luxury positioning and unique destination offering.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing team to ensure alignment with strategic goals and brand standards.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies to continuously evolve the resort’s marketing approach.

As Director of Marketing, we expect from you:

  • 7–10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally within luxury hospitality or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies within the luxury segment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial awareness, with the ability to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience working with global brands and maintaining brand consistency across all channels.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced qualifications are advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly preferred. Additional languages are an advantage.
