The Hotel

SKILLS REQUIRED:
A dynamic transformational marketing leader who has a passion in driving business impact through direct consumer and sales channels. The incumbent will be an ambitious individual who is strategic and passionate about branding and storytelling. Experience in creative design and writing, along with digital marketing skills will be essential. The role requires a strong experience of media and influencer endorsement strategies, and the incumbent must have a sharp commercial mind and be responsible for driving revenue through sales and catering segments.
SCOPE AND RANGE:
Responsible for the strategy, implementation, execution and budget control of the hotel’s annual marketing and communications activations. Oversee all matters relating to the marketing and communications plan including media relations, digital marketing, consumer relationship management, partnerships, social media, advertising, brand identity and collateral production as well as all other marketing activities for the hotel to ensure fully integrated campaigns.
Work closely with the General Manager and Director of Revenue Strategy to set the hotel’s vision, strategic business direction, and implement the hotel’s commercial (sales/selling) strategy to maximize hotel revenues, market share performance and financial objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing & Communications
- Oversee the creation and management of the brand identity for the hotel and all its outlets
- Continue to craft stories that differentiates the hotel vs. the competitors while being part of one brand
- Develop an overall annual direct marketing plan and allocate the approved budget as per ongoing marketing and communications activities monthly
- Design and execute communication and direct consumer strategy for the hotel to ensure positioning as one of the top hotels in the destination in the local, national, and international media, showcasing its main USPs and highlighting MOHG’s competitive advantages
- Manage the Hotel’s Press Office by developing and writing newsworthy storytelling, and manage direct crisis communications in counsel with MOHG Corporate Communications team
- Oversee all phases planning to brief and implementation of the hotel’s annual advertising plan; coordinate with MOHG advertising department on all matters related to creative and media planning
- Work with global digital marketing team to identify and execute paid social media, digital marketing campaigns to engage both global staying guests and local audiences for F&B and Spa
- Ensure up-to-date, brand-appropriate web site copy for the hotel including information and production of photography, videography and press releases. Liaise with appropriate corporate and property colleagues to update the hotel site regularly
- Maintain frequent contact with the hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities and oversee consumer events as required
- Develop strategic brand partnerships with relevant brands in the luxury, lifestyle and arts and cultural world
- Responsible and guides communication and consumer marketing staff and ensure their continuous development
Sales & Catering
- Effectively develop, implement, monitor, and control sales strategies and goals and coordinate these strategies between Regional Sales Offices, Marketing & Communications Teams, and on-property Leadership.
- Guides DOS to determine strategic and appropriate deployment of Sales Team to continuously grow the direct sales segments
- Establishes priorities and sales goals, including but not limited to Group gap Goals, with the DOS and holds DOS responsible to achieve the Sales Team’s goals.
- Ensures all Sales contracts are in line with MOHG’s Distribution guidelines.
- Support the DOS leadership of sales team, ensuring proper leadership and motivation and holds them accountable to achieve goals.
- Evaluates monthly segment production and conducts monthly account reviews with DOS and Sales Team.
- Conducts weekly sales meetings with DOS and DOC and oversees daily group leads to monitor demand and provide conversion guidance.
- Ensures that DOC strategically targets accounts to grow business and holds them responsible in managing the team and achieving their goals
Other Areas
- Together with the Director of Revenue Strategy, prepares the hotel’s annual Budget and develops, implements, and adapts the Annual Marketing Plan as market conditions fluctuate.
- Responsible for annual expenditure for all sales and marketing activities and control of the budgeted expenditure by a monthly forecast.
- Maintains continual awareness of current and future competitors, for example but not limited to, product, published offers/pricing, renovation plans, inventory, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 5 years marketing leadership position in luxury brands
- Has experience in leading and managing sales teams in a similar positioning and size with comprehension of the sales process in different segments
- Strong business acumen and able to create objectives and make strategic decisions and recommendations based on facts, market trends and experience/knowledge.
- Able to train, manage and develop all direct reports to ensure successful execution of sales & marketing efforts and continue to grow the team.
- Exceptional leadership & communication skills, confident, and ability to build relationships.
- Self-motivated, well organized, ability to multi-task, and detail orientated.
- Able to travel when required.

Salary: $215,000- $229,000 + Bonus
