About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Kitchen Department in Milan, the Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for the quality of the food and the colleagues. The Demi Chef de Partie reports to the Sous Chef and to the Executive Sous Chef.

As Demi Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily operations of the assigned section, ensuring efficiency, organization, and high‑quality output.

  • Prepare ingredients, mise en place, and dishes according to standards and recipes established by the Executive Chef.

  • Monitor the quality and presentation of all food items, ensuring consistency and precision.

  • Work collaboratively, maintaining a positive attitude and a strong commitment to professional development.

  • Always Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper use of kitchen equipment.

  • Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor in accordance with operational needs.

  • 3-5 years of hotel experience & supervisory experience
