About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Culinary Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Culinary Coordinator is responsible to carry out administration culinary duties whilst ensuring smooth, co-ordinated team effort in the kitchen, and to ensure, that agreed quality, hygiene and other standards are kept or surpassed, at all times. The Culinary Coordinator reports to the Executive Chef.

As Culinary Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Provides administrative assistance to the culinary team e.g. attendance records, pick-up chart, H.A.C.C.P. record keeping, recipe costing, menus, BEO print-out and any other requirements. 
  • Ensures full purchase coverage with the order system for all fresh and frozen food items for the culinary team, including detailed market list requirements. 
  • Communicates any operational problems to the Executive Chef.
  • Works closely with chefs and sous chefs on all day-to-day matters.
  • Reports anything that may be considered a health or hygiene hazard.
  • Organizes the office area, maintaining the office supply.  

As Culinary Coordinator, we expect from you: 

  • EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role will be considered as a plus.
  • Strong overall computer literacy.
  • Fluency in English.
