About the Job 

The Commis de Cuisine assists in the preparation, production, and presentation of dishes for Ottolenghi. The Commis de Cuisine reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine.

As a Commis de Cuisine, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards;
  • Ensuring all mise en place is ready for service; 
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas; 
  • Supporting senior chefs in day-to-day operations and learning new culinary techniques;
  • Complying with all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards. 

As Commis de Cuisine, we expect from you: 

  • Previous kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred. 
  • A passion for culinary arts and attention to detail. 
  • Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow. 
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
  • Familiar with Hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
  • Good communication skills and a flexible attitude.
