We are currently looking for a talented and highly driven:

 Chef(fe) de Rang SACHI

The Chef de Rang is responsible for welcoming and serving guests in the rooms assigned to him/her by the Restaurant Manager or Assistant. He/she anticipates customers' needs and meets their expectations with attentive, personalised, friendly and careful service. To do this, he/she must have a thorough knowledge of the Pillars and LQA relating to the Restaurant.

The Chef de Rang's main tasks are:

  • Preparing his/her station (setting up) in accordance with the established standards so as to be ready to welcome customers.
  • Welcoming customers to the station in accordance with M.O. reception principles.
  • Suggest the menu and announce daily specials or special offers
  • Serve food according to M.O. service standards
  • Present the bill and collect the money
  • Dealing with customer complaints in accordance with the LQE procedure and referring complaints and all customer observations to Management
  • Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified in catering (BEP/CAP)
  • English required
  • Open-minded with good time-management, organization and communication skills, diligence and commitment.  
  • Ability to keep a positive and responsible attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent presentation and hospitality skills
  • Outgoing and enjoy customer contact
  • Previous experience preferably in a similar position and in the luxury hospitality segment.
