About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Chef de Partie Patisserie is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Chef de Partie Patisserie reports to the Executive Pastry Chef.

 

As Chef de Partie Patisserie, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Direct cooperation with the Executive Pastry Chef
  • Representing the Executive Pastry Chef in his absence
  • Production of cakes and tarts
  • Handling the daily Mise en Place
  • Production for our banqueting department
  • Contributing to designing menus and developing menu concepts
  • Doing orders in coordination with the supervisor as well as controlling the daily merchandise receiving
  • Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all food and raw materials
  • Ensuring a smooth work process while maintaining quality standards
  • Compliance and daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines.

 

As Chef de Partie Patisserie, we expect from you:

  • Completed training as a confectioner or cook and several years of professional experience in the patisserie
  • Team spirit, strong leader
  • Organizational skills
  • Creativity - your culinary handwriting is reflected in cooperation with our Executive Chef
  • Very good English knowledge. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
