About the Job:
The Chef de partie at Mandarin Oriental Paris, is responsible for the production of food in the station assigned to him/her by the Executive Chef. He/she must maintain quality, service and product standards. In addition, he/she must supervise the subordinates of his/her Party.

As a Chef de partie you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes within your assigned section, ensuring consistency and high quality.
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth and timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels in your section and assist with inventory control and ordering.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in your area at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and improve kitchen operations.
  • Take responsibility for the proper storage and labeling of food items in your section.

As Chef de partie, We Expect from You:

  • A passion for cooking and a strong ambition to grow within a luxury hotel kitchen environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant or upscale hotel kitchen is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Quick to learn and able to follow instructions from senior chefs with precision.
  • Natural team leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in French (both written and spoken).
  • Solid knowledge of kitchen hygiene regulations and food safety standards.
  • Positive attitude and a proactive, hands-on approach to responsibilities.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Highly organized, methodical, and rigorous in your work.
  • Enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in delivering excellence.
