We are seeking a passionate and brand-driven Chef de Cuisine to lead Verandah into its next chapter.

As Chef de Cuisine, you are the creative and operational leader of Verandah’s kitchen, bringing the brand vision to life through food that is consistent and inspiring. You will shape menus, develop talent and ensure every plate reflects our commitment to quality, experience and innovation.

Responsibilities

Brand & Culinary Leadership

  • Translate the Verandah and MOBKK brand identity into a compelling culinary offering
  • Design and evolve seasonal, trend-aware menus that balance creativity with commercial success
  • Deliver a guest experience that is memorable, consistent and on brand

Kitchen Operations

  • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on quality, efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain exceptional standards in food safety, hygiene and compliance
  • Manage cost controls including food cost, wastage and inventory

People & Culture

  • Build, mentor and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
  • Foster a culture aligned with MOBKK values.
  • Identify and develop future culinary talent

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work closely with Front of House, Marketing and Leadership teams to deliver cohesive guest experiences
  • Contribute to brand storytelling through activations, promotions and events
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing fresh ideas to the table

As Chef de Cuisine, we expect you to have:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, lifestyle-driven dining environment
  • A brand-led mindset, understand how food shapes identity and guest perception
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a passion for developing teams
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and kitchen performance
  • Creative, hands-on, and detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
