Central Lead - Operate with Excellence (Operations, Commercial, Finance)

About the team

Operations Finance oversees all Finance activity within our hotels and residence, as well as day-to-day management, the team are building out new capability to drive continuous improvement to transform ways of working across the Group. This role will be dedicated to one of the core projects, an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role, working closely with Executives, Operations and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation effort for the “Operate with Excellence” project, on property
  • Lead the communication, coordination, and sharing between Corporate and properties
  • Inspire, and ideate around new initiatives 
  • Share properties' learning across network, to boost innovation, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Drive initiative testing and implementation, by enabling the property leaders and change agents
  • Regularly report out on progress with Corporate project team

Requirements

  • Open to travel (80% travel); first period will be based in Hong Kong or London (September – November 2024), followed by 12-18 months of rotation to other properties (approx. 3 months in each location)
  • Proven experience in leading teams to deliver large-scale transformation projects, ideally in a multinational corporate setting
  • Prior project and change management expertise preferred
  • Understanding of stakeholder’s different needs, able to flex communicate style and ensure consider people and culture implications of changes
  • Strong operations and / or commercial and / or finance background, with understanding of process optimisation
  • Hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Analytical and data-driven decision maker with structured problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, and ability to train and pass the knowledge to others
  • Solution-oriented and positive leader, excited to drive change in the property and organization at large
  • Personable, across levels of the organisation
  • Willing to be part of broader transformation effort sharing learnings with other properties and the transformation team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrates solid leadership qualities, self-driven, and organised
