As Back of House Technician/Storekeeper you will be responsible for the following duties:
Ensure compliance with legislated workplace health and safety requirements.
Comply with all MOHG and Hotel Specific Standards and Procedures.
To abide by all rules, regulations, policies, LQE, MOQA and Safe, Sound & Sustainable by Mandarin Oriental standards.
Attend meetings and Departmental trainings as requested
Complete safety training and certifications
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Receive the goods from suppliers and check whether they meet the requirements mentioned in the purchase order
Arrange received materials as required
Properly store flammable materials.
Ensure that the materials are stored safely
Keep a record of receipt and issue of goods
Issue materials according to the requirements
Dispatch purchase requisition for buying materials
Manage personnel at the store
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to assigned inventory location.
Issues material to Duty Technicians/ Supervisors in current system based on request specifications.
Fills requisition, picklist, request for materials, and /or other stock items and distributes items to various crafts throughout the facility
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Conduct random inspection/inventory of tools issued to Technicians
Marks materials with identifying information and updates system with location
Order and replace the correct spares of equipment as needed
Report any BOH maintenance/engineering concerns, unusual findings or safety hazards
Test and resolve equipment issues, send in equipment for repairs as needed
Complete safety training and certifications
Properly store flammable materials.
Update logbook, service request data and complete submit required reports
Order and replace the correct spares of equipment as needed
Perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require
As Back of House Technician we expect from you:
High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship
Minimum one year’s experience as a storekeeper in a luxury hotel
Excellent knowledge of material and parts.
Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction techniques
Good basic math skills
Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
Conscientious with great attention to detail
