Responsible for maintaining the Legendary Quality Experience - LQE.
Ensure sufficient manning in Public Area & rooms are appropriate to operational demand.
Ensure staff’s punctuality, uniforms, personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Continuously monitor colleagues & housekeeping supervisor performance and provide on-the-job guidance.
Follow up to establish solutions appropriate to problems highlighted and motivate colleagues to take ownership of their work and follow up.
Conduct daily briefing of information important to the smooth operation of hotel. Encourage staff to focus on objectives.
Assist with the training of new colleagues and career development of current colleagues.
Provide support to Housekeeping during full-house situations and liaise QC/Housekeeping Manager/Exec HK as a support role. May be asked to also check rooms & public area during busy time periods periodically to support the HK operations.
Will work together with the other department to ensure consistent systematic approach to cleaning all hotel areas and works on the strategic side of ensuring that the works are being completed as scheduled.
Work with the Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper on planning & managing preventive maintenance for rooms & public area.
Supervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance.
Will supervise all Housekeeping operations during the day and night. Ensuring smooth flow and preparing for the day shift.
Attend meetings pertaining to Front Desk operations and remain up-to-date with new innovations within the hotel.
Manage any additional projects and tasks as requested by the Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper
Co-ordinate with other departments such as Front Office and Food and Beverage to ensure smooth running of the operation and inter-departmental cooperation.
Monitor training of new staff and their progress and be involved to identify team’s strength and weaknesses.
Set reasonable objectives for housekeeping supervisor to achieve.
Report to the Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper regarding any incident, individual staff’s performance and attitude and be involved in regular coaching.
Maintain departmental filling system and ensure these are kept on minimum requirement.
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Housekeeping order taker. Contact engineering directly for urgent repairs.
Monitor supplies, tools and machinery. Ensure they are sufficient for the operation work well and enough stock.
To monitor guest satisfaction by effectively following up of comments and complains within 24 hours.
To ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to standard and procedure manual and the Legendary Quality Experience (LQE).
Promote and recognize opportunities to provide guest service above and beyond all expectation.
To ensure that the health and safety company standard are maintained carried out. They must be monitored to assist in scoring 100% on the MOHG health and safety audit.
To ensure that Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s grooming and appearance standard are implemented and maintained to reflect an image of professionalism and care at all time.
