About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service.

As Housekeeping Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operation. 
  • To supervise and support the housekeeping team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. 
  • To monitor and ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards, maintaining consistency in guest interactions. 
  • To ensure that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures are properly understood and followed through. 
  • To ensure that FLHSS standards are always adhered to. 
  • To ensure VIP and special request rooms are prepared according to guest preferences and brand standards. 
  • To manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, ensuring cost control and availability. 
  • To oversee deep-cleaning schedules and special projects, maintaining long-term room and facility upkeep. Includes working closely with Engineering and Front Office to stay on track with PRP as expected by MOHG. 
  • To supervise and inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas, ensuring they meet luxury service standards. 
  • To coordinate daily housekeeping operations, assigning rooms and tasks to attendants. 
  • To report maintenance and repair needs, ensuring room functionality and guest comfort. 
  • To conduct daily briefings with the housekeeping team, communicating priorities and expectations. 
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.  

As Assistant Executive Housekeeper, we expect from you: 

Experience and education

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Housekeeping within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.  
  • Experience with luxury housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, and guest service expectations. 
  • Experience with inventory control, linen management, and housekeeping supply usage. 

Technical Skills

  • Effective communication skills in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus). 
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to housekeeping and hotel operations. 
  • High attention to detail and quality control, ensuring all guest areas meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards. 
  • Independence and proactive approach.
