About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok within the People & Culture Department, the Assistant Director of People & Culture is responsible for assisting in the short- and long-term planning of the P&C function and is actively involved in executing P&C initiatives. The P&C team prides itself on excellence, service, integrity, and accountability. The Assistant Director of People & Culture reports directly to the Director of People & Culture.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of People & Culture in developing and implementing the People Strategy.
- Execute tasks related to Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, Training, and Salaries and Benefits.
- Plan and oversee the functions of the People & Culture Department.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations within the People & Culture Department.
- Ensure the organization meets all regulatory requirements and maintains accurate records.
- Research, propose, and lead compensation programs.
- Research, design, and implement employee policies and procedures.
- Develop and lead recruitment and employee retention initiatives.
- Prepare budgets and forecast departmental needs.
As Assistant Director of People & Culture, we expect you to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a luxury establishment or luxury retail in a similar role.
- Fluency in English and Thai.
- A solid background in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.
- Strong business acumen and legal knowledge.
- Proficiency in P&C digital transformation.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to handle challenging tasks and situations effectively.
- A results-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail, focus on timelines, and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and motivation to elevate the department to new heights.
