Assistant Director of Finance

As a Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Ensure the proper and smooth running of all activities in General Accounting operations, assist them and assess their work.
  • Ensure the accounting integrity of the books and records kept by subordinates.
  • Design and implement stronger operational reporting to provide more accurate and reliable information for managing the operations.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results, highlighting both positive and negative variances, and provide recommendations for improvement where feasible.
  • Prepare Return on Investment analysis for Special Capital Expenditure items.
  • Report any operational irregularities to the Director of Finance.
  • Assist the General Manager and Director of Finance in overall cost control, gross margin improvement, cash flow management, organization structure and strategies.
  • Development of lower and middle management executives through coaching, mentoring and through constant formal interactions at specific yet periodic intervals. To use the Performance Appraisal objective target as tools for goals and target settings and to engage in feedback.

As a Assistant Director of Finance, we expect from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CMA) preferred.
  • 6–8 years of finance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial role, ideally within luxury hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership ability with strong communication skills and a good understanding of hotel operations.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written), with proven leadership and communication abilities and understanding of hotel operations.
