Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok within the Front Office Department, Conceirge.
As Assistant Chief Concierge,you will be responsible for the following duties:
To provide information and sightseeing tours for guests in different languages.
To handle skillful tasks, to attend to all guests’ requests, problems and complaints concerning concierge services.
To be responsible for all room keys.
To be responsible for efficiency of baggage storeroom and storing system.
To be responsible for efficiency of incoming and outgoing e-mail, mailing, freight, courier, parcel, and packing services.
To control item delivery and send all messages for in-house and arriving guests.
To arrange transportation services such as coaches, limousines, vans, helicopters, Private jets, boats, taximeter as requested.
To be responsible for precision and accuracy of all local information regarding restaurants, shopping areas, sightseeing places, tourist attractions and events.
To be responsible for the inspection of all concierges working areas to ensure that the tidiness of the main entrance and lobby are always maintained.
To recheck weekly schedules to ensure that there are enough staff on duty to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of luggage service during check in and check out.
To report unusual problems or complaints to Asst. Manager or Front Office Manager or Director of Room.
To keep close relationship with affiliated concierge members, inbound and outbound access its international network to provide guest services.
To be responsible for good communication with subordinates by means of the concierge logbook and daily briefings.
To conduct on-the-job training and to train new employees to perform the job up to hotel standard.
As Assistant Chief Concierge, we expect from you:
Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role for Operational Services in a luxury working environment.
Excellent communication skills spoken and written.
Proficiency in English and in Computer skills.
Passionate, committed, creative, flexible, and a team player with high energy level.
Ability to perform duties under pressure.
