  • Coordinate closely with the hotel’s Director of Engineer and assist on specifications as required and agree on handling of maintenance and support.
  • Ensure that systems have no errors, no response time issues, minimum of downtime, and performs according to documented specifications.
  • Ensure that operating system, hotel and office applications are updated with the latest release or patch as advised by Group IT&T.
  • Manage on-going maintenance of systems and ensure that appropriate service contracts if deemed necessary are in place.
  • Maintain a record of maintenance contracts and constantly monitors the preventative maintenance program executed by the contractors.
  • Maintain and manage list of support issues and coordinates with the software vendor or service provider for an immediate resolution.
  • Execute the published escalation procedure to provide 24 hour support to the hotel guest and staff.
  • Identify and train with the concurrence of the department head, appropriate shift personnel to solve minor technology related problems.
  • In coordination with both purchasing and end user department; assist in reviewing the technical specifications of the following in view of business or functional requirements.
  • In conjunction with the end user department, implement and manage IT&T asset replacement plan to ensure that the hotel’s system and technology is progressively kept current and up to date.
  • Maintain and update all software manuals to ensure their validity and accuracy.
  • Maintain a log of backups and locations of all media stored in the off site backup storage.
  • Ensure that senior colleagues and department heads are aware of requirements and guidelines outlined in MOHG’ policies and procedures and best practice manuals.
  • Provide adequate physical security for hardware and related items.
  • To provide support to the Hotel Management, MOHG Corporate Office and the company shareholders in the carrying out of any tasks or duties that are requested whether they be directly related to the IT & T function or not, as directed by the Financial Controller or the General Manager or their designated substitute.
