The Hotel

Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul has become Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's second hotel in Turkey. The hotel is located on the European side of Istanbul, in the luxurious residential district of Kuruçeşme, right next to the unique Bosphorus.

Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul located on the shores of the Bosphorus with its lush, generous, and magical gardens, in the city center with two outdoor pools, 100 spacious guest rooms and suites, rich Sunday brunches with menus from unique Turkish and world delicacies, world-famous Novikov Restaurant for lunch and dinner, serving Italian and Mediterranean specialties, as well as delicious sushi varieties and many other special Pan-Asian delicacies, consists of innovative restaurants and bars and opulent and elegant banquet facilities. Spanning an area of 3,500 square meters, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, is one of the best and most comprehensive health and beauty centers in Istanbul.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Together with Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales, agree and implement rate strategy & actions for the assigned geographical territories 
  2. To responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing transient & group businesses on behalf of Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul  in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan.
  3. To effectively manage the key accounts of the relevant markets through planned sales activity, maximising account potential in terms of rate or room-nights in accordance with overall sales strategies.
  4. To focus on the growth and continued production of existing accounts both domestic and international and to develop new accounts that are suitable for the pricing strategy of the property.
  5. Selling and planning of Groups and Travel Trade business in assigned territories and effectively converting enquiries into sales.
  6. Coordinate partnership and sponsorship opportunities that will benefit the hotel and that support its brand initiatives.
  7. Manage and maintain the hotel’s on-line presence in all channels, including but not limited to travel sales channels- Preferred Partner, third party promotional sites, travel blogs etc.
  8. To provide accurate and timely reporting on segment, account production and propose actions/strategies
  9. Provide customers with prompt service to fulfil their needs within our operational capabilities.
  10. Conduct site inspections and handle any enquiries
  11. Generate reports when requested and within the specified time period.
  12. Promptly pass leads on regional and/or international business to the respective RSOs.
  13. Responsible for updating accounts and contact profiles in the Infor / Delphi.
  14. Attend and participate in sales and business development meetings as required.
  15. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by your department head.


  1. Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
  2. Minimum 2 years working experience in the luxury hotel industry; international experience preferred.
  1. Proficient in written and spoken English and Turkish.
  2. Efffectively develop, implement, monitor and control sales strategies.
  3. Effective time management, communication and presentation skills.
  4. Ability to present ideas in a well-organized manner.
  5. Creative problem solving skills.
  6. Understands the hotels’ business mix needs and the “brand”.
  7. High energy level, self-motivated, articulate and presentable.
  8. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  9. Ability to work under pressure.
  10. Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate his/her team.
  11. Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
